Ari has over 20 years of experience representing the interests of his clients with their most challenging U.S. intellectual property law matters. Since 2005, he has served as the founder and President of Pramudji Law Group PPLC, a minority-owned boutique law firm dedicated to the nationwide practice of intellectual property law. Ari oversees and manages all aspects of his firm’s day-to-day operations. With the perspective of a business owner, he organizes the most efficient and effective team(s) possible to satisfy the legal needs of his firm’s clients. Before attending law school in Austin, he worked at Southwestern Bell Corporation (now AT&T) where he managed several departments under its Leadership Development Program, including the engineering, marketing and digital electronics departments.
Ari speaks fluent Indonesian (Malay) and conversational Spanish. He draws on the significant technical expertise and depth of the other professionals at his law firm and his own extensive personal, professional and academic relationships throughout Texas, Georgia and the United States to serve the people in his life, beginning with his firm’s clients. He has been recognized by the Dean of the University of Texas School of Law for his achievements in patents and trade secrets. As a Network Lawyer, Ari prepares and prosecutes patent applications, renders opinions (e.g., regarding the infringement, invalidity, unenforceability, clearance, freedom to operate, etc.) about existing patents, assists with the performance of M&A due diligence pertaining to intellectual property, and advises clients with respect to their patent portfolio strategy and landscape in general. He also prepares and prosecutes trademark applications, renders trademark availability opinions and advises clients with respect to trademark related matters in general.
His clients all have one thing in common: they own and develop market-leading technology. Beyond that, Ari’s clients vary widely. They range from start-up companies to multinational, Fortune 500 companies. They also span an impressive array of industries, including computer software and hardware, seismic data processing, semiconductor technology, oil and gas, medical devices, and telecommunications.
